This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.lifelion.health.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information and to minimise the risks of theft, damage, loss of information, or unauthorised access to or use of your personal information.

To better protect your privacy, we, LifeLion, provide this Privacy Policy explaining how we collect, use and disclose the information (defined below) we obtain about visitors to our website (www.lifelion.health) (the “Site”) and the products and services available through our Site. We also explain the choices you can make about how your Information is collected and used through our Site or Services.

Legal age for purchases

If you are under 18, you must inform a parent or legal guardian about LifeLion’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions and obtain their consent before placing an order with LifeLion. Our website is not intended for use by children under 14, and we will not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 14.

In practice, if you are under 18, please ask your parents or guardian before placing an order.

How we collect privacy information

LifeLion collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so, we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applicable across the European Union (including the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as the “data controller” of such personal information for the purposes of those laws. Personal information we collect

When you visit our Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. In addition, as you browse www.lifelion.health, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”.

“Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages and date/time stamps. “Web beacons”, “tags” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

In addition, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card number or PayPal ID), email address and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”. This information is mandatory, meaning you will not be able to purchase a product from the Site without it.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about both Device Information and Order Information.

In practice, we collect certain information from you in order to correctly fulfil the orders you place on our Site.

How do we use your personal information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you (through our customer support programme, in response to reviews, via social media or email).

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address) and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing your personal information

We share your personal information with third parties acting as data processors to help us use your personal information. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal information and to treat it in accordance with the law. We allow them to process your personal information only for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

We use Microsoft Clarity to record and monitor for marketing purposes:

Personal Data: clicks; usage data; layout details; session duration; interaction events; page events; diagnostic events; custom events; time zone; location information; device information; page scroll interactions; mouse movements; country; tracking tools.

Finally, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, a search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

If you reside in Europe, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us using the contact information below.

If you reside in Europe, please note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example, if you place an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests.

In addition, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

 

GDPR necessity (legal basis)

We need to process your personal information in order to:

  • Perform our contract with you (see Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Comply with our legal obligations (see Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

  • Pursue our legitimate business interests relating to running the Site and providing our services to you, or to pursue the legitimate interests of third parties, provided that your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests (see Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

  • Establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, where necessary (see Article 9(2)(f) GDPR).

  • Operate an online review platform in compliance with, for example, unfair commercial practices rules and applicable guidance on online reviews and endorsements.

Some of these grounds for processing your personal data overlap, so there may be several grounds that justify our processing of your personal information.

Where, in limited circumstances, you have expressly provided consent for us to process your personal information (see Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), for example when you subscribe to our newsletters, you are free to withdraw your consent at any time.

Please note, however, that we may be entitled to continue processing your information if this can be justified on one of the other legal bases above.

Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Data controller

We are the data controller of the Personal Data you enter to create and maintain your account. We are also the data controller of the data communicated to other services acting as data processors. You are the data controller of the data relating to content you choose to disclose on the Site in a review and for personal data disclosed when you link your social network profiles with our profiles.

Access

You may email hello@lifelion.health and request information about your personal data. After receiving your request, we will let you know what personal information we have about you and whether such data is portable.

We reserve the right to block access to our Site and delete your account if, in our assessment, we find anything that violates applicable laws, third-party rights, our User Guidelines, or is not consistent with the purpose of the Site. If we block access or delete your account, we will inform you of the reason by sending an email to the address you provided when creating your account.

Other rights

In addition to the rights set out above in relation to your Personal Data, you also have the following rights:

  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data and to restrict the processing of your personal data.

  • In particular, you have the unconditional right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

  • Where our processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent by emailing hello@lifelion.health.

In some circumstances, these rights may be limited or conditional. For example, whether you have the right to data portability in a particular case depends on the specific circumstances of the processing activity.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
